Retiring AMP chief information officer Lee Barnett announced plans to leave the Company in October. She will be replaced by long-standing AMP tech executive Craig Ryman in January. Her tenure will be most remembered for her pivotal role in ensuring AMP delivered the promised $150 million integration benefits from the $14.6 billion takeover of AXA Asia Pacific in 2011.
Managing Director at outsourcing advisory firm Mindfields Consulting, Mohit Sharma said Ms Barnett had been one of the most respected and visionary CIOs in the Australian financial services domain. He said her successor had already proven himself to be a strong choice.
