ANZ Banking Group sent a document to major existing IT suppliers, Infosys, HCL and Wipro asking why they should be doing the work already under their control, and potentially to pitch to expand their scope into other areas.
Mohit Sharma, Director of outsourcing advisory firm Mindfields, said the move appeared to be a smart one on behalf of ANZ, as it would keep incumbent vendors highly competitive and non-complacent.
